Elay Kadosh nació, se crió y ha estado viviendo y estudiando en Tel Aviv, Israel. A la edad de 13 años, después de escuchar un disco de Paul Chambers, Elay se enamoró perdidamente de esta música y comenzó a tocar el contrabajo. Estudió jazz en la escuela secundaria A de la ciudad municipal de Tel Aviv - Escuela de artes. Elay estudió en privado con Barak Mori y Eli Magen (la Filarmónica de Israel), uno de los mejores y más respetados bajistas de Israel (jazz y música clásica). Elay ha sido seleccionado por las FDI para hacer su servicio militar como “Músico de excelencia”, un estatus exclusivo reservado para un puñado de los mejores talentos musicales. Posteriormente estudió con George Mraz, una leyenda del bajo en Nueva York. Más recientemente, tomó lecciones privadas con el maestro Ron Carter, Ben Wolfe, Ulysses Owens jr., Ari Roland, Reuben Rogers, Neal Miner, Paul Gill y Andy McKee. Elay fue aceptado en la academia 2020 JAS (Jazz Aspen Snowmass) en colaboración con el programa de verano de becas completas de la Escuela de Música Frost, Universidad de Miami, bajo la guía del Maestro Christian McBride. Elay planea lanzar su EP debut, que incluye música original, este año (2021). En 2020, Elay fue aceptado en el programa de jazz The New School, con una beca completa, donde actualmente es un estudiante de primer año.

Elay Kadosh was born, raised, and has been living and studying in Tel Aviv, Israel. At the age of 13, after listening to a Paul Chambers record, Elay fell head over heels in love with this music and began playing the double bass. He studied jazz at the Tel Aviv Municipal City High-School A – School of Arts. Elay studied privately with Barak Mori and Eli Magen (the Israel Philharmonic) – one of Israel’s top and highly regarded bass players (jazz and classical). Elay has been selected by the IDF to do his military service as a “Musician of Excellence'' – an exclusive status reserved for a handful of the top musical talents. In 2015 he won a scholarship for Young Jazz musicians at the Red Sea Jazz Festival workshop. He won scholarships for young and promising artists (distinguished excellence) from the America-Israel Cultural Foundation, three different times, between the years 2016-2021. In 2018 Elay won the ALMA contest award for Excellent Jazz Player. A few years ago Elay had the privilege to attend two workshops with Dr. Barry Harris. Later he studied with George Mraz, a bass legend in New York. More recently, he took private lessons with Maestro Ron Carter, Ben Wolfe, Ulysses Owens jr., Ari Roland, Reuben Rogers, Neal Miner, Paul Gill, and Andy McKee. Elay was accepted into the 2020 JAS (Jazz Aspen Snowmass) academy in collaboration with the Frost School of Music, University of Miami full-scholarship summer program, under the guidance of Maestro Christian McBride. Elay plans to release his debut EP, including original music, this year (2021). In 2020 Elay was accepted into The New School jazz program, with a full scholarship, where he currently is a freshman.
