Bienvenidos al concierto de Faris Ishaq! Welcome to Faris Ishaq's concert!

Cuando la naturaleza nos revela sus secretos, nos impone su verdad. la flauta "Nay" refleja una sombra ignorada por la humanidad. El Nay se remonta al 5000 a.C. hasta el Antiguo Egipto y ha existido desde entonces, recordándonos nuestros orígenes antiguos. Para que su sonido salga, se debe establecer una conexión reflexiva consistente entre el no, el jugador y el entorno en el que se reproduce. Quizás por eso la Tradición Sufí eligió el nay como instrumento de autodescubrimiento. La actuación “NAY: Nature Addresses You” es una actuación en solitario que tiene como objetivo fortalecer el vínculo entre la humanidad y la naturaleza e invita a un viaje narrado por el nay por la llamada al autodescubrimiento y la autoconciliación. Musicalmente, Nay Master Faris Ishaq arroja luz sobre su interpretación del Nay como flauta global, donde expande su interpretación de expresiones melódicas a percusivas y armónicas. Además de eso, mientras toca el Nay, se acompaña tocando la percusión de piernas y el tambor de marco simultáneamente.

When nature reveals its secrets, imposing its truth upon us. the “Nay” flute reflects a shadow ignored by mankind. The Nay dates back to 5000 B.C to Ancient Egypt and has been existing since then, reminding us of our ancient origins. In order for its sound to come out, a consistent reflective connection has to be made between the nay, the player, and the environment it is played within. Perhaps that is why the Sufi Tradition chose the nay as an instrument for self-discovery. The performance “NAY: Nature Addresses You” is a solo performance that aims to strengthen the bond between humanity and nature and invites for a journey narrated by the nay for the call of self-discovery and self reconciliation. Musically, Nay Master Faris Ishaq sheds light on his performance on the Nay as a global flute, where he expands its performance from melodic to percussive and harmonic expressions. On top of that, while playing the Nay he accompanies himself by playing leg-percussion and frame drum simultaneously.
